thing that happened with Lenin and Stalin in the Soviet Union.
Snowball’s and Napoleon’s relationship carries on like Lenin’s and Stalin’s relationship; Snowball’s and Lenin’s ideas were for the people but over time Napoleon’s and Stalin’s hunger for power made them turn on their friends; Stalin had Lenin killed, and Napoleon has Snowball attacked. These are similar because these were used to get rid of the previous leader so the other rises to power and assumes absolute power.
When Napoleon Expels Snowball, he has him attacked so he can have absolute power over Animal Farm.
When Stalin’s power hunger grew to be too strong he kills Lenin to assume absolute power in the Soviet Union. When this happens in the story the tone changes things begin to descend into darkness under the rule of Napoleon; just like it does in real life when Stalin takes over. Napoleon did atrocities to make sure no one would stand or go against him. Stalin did this by purging most of the Soviet Union of any undesirables and any political opponent he had.
Under the rule of Napoleon everything begins to grow dark he is a tyrant & begins to eliminate the liberties that the animals set out to gain when the animals had a revolution to take the farm away from Mr. Jones. This carries similarities to what happened when Stalin took over because Lenin set out to gain many things for the russian people when he had a revolution against the rulers of Russia, but it is undone by Stalin so he could assume absolute power of the Soviet Union.
The amount of similarities that are presented in the book Animal Farm and the things that happen in the beginning of the Soviet Union are very large. This book was written during the height of the Cold War this could have been used to show how bad the Soviet Union is. So overall this is a book is very similar to the actual events that acquirer in the Soviet
Union.
