Climate may cause natural selection in a species if it has not adapted. For instance and extreme drought can kill off a number of plants in one year yet may leave the plants to repopulate and grow for the next year. Animals/plants that have been in an environment will most likely have been adapted to the natural habitat yet if a different species come into the habitat it will be the most affected. This gives the species that adapted an advantage over the newcomers who have the disadvantage of the environment. A species in the wrong climate may entirely wipe out the species because of the fluctuating temperatures. The competition will still occur in these environments until all the competition ceases to …show more content…
If the sea level is too high it will flood and overwater the crops. If the sea level is too low or far away it will not get watered at all and the crops will die.Over the years Egyptian farmers have been using the Nile river as their primary resource, But recently the Nile river has been warming and receding, causing the fields for crops to be covered with salt. This salt is a problem since it may make the land barely farmable. An example of this would be Abdullah Salam and others drilling a well to get water. Drilling the well is not the solution since the water would further go underground into the reservoirs and aquifers. As the ocean is slowly warming and the water is rising, the land is slowly sinking. The people of Egypt are panicking about this, which leads to people excessively pumping the aquifer for water faster than the rain can refill
