George and Lennie share a dream and the reader slowly watches that dream slip away from them chapter to chapter. George has two dreams , the first one is George wants own his own farm and live off a land. The second dreams of George’s is to not be as close to Lennie and be free and do what he wants. Next Lennie’s dream is to live off a fatta of a land. George’s dream happens like this, Lennie messes up ,George feels trapped and that he should end Lennie’s life, but the dream died when Lennie died. Lennie’s dream didn’t come true because George shot Lennie in the back of the head. The first detail of Mice and men is “an live off a fatta of a land” (steinbeck 105). In conclusion George and Lennie’s dream will never come true.
