The allegory “The scarlet ibis” by James Hurst is about A boy that gets a brother who is not all there and they think he is going to die. He ends up surviving, but his brother is embarrassed that he has a brother who is not all there so he tries to fix him, but he has too much pride and it ends in tragedy. First, you should know That the brother names him Doodle doodle ends up living and he ends up being all there, but that is not enough for his brother (Hurst). In my opinion, It was not right of Doodles brother to force him to do things that can hurt him and overwork him.Furthermore, Doodle learns how to walk, but his brother is not satisfied with just that he makes him swim and that makes him sick, they found a bird called a scarlet ibis…
Victor, depressed after the deaths of William and Justine for which he feels responsible for, heads to the mountains. “A cold… breeze… upon my cheeks … fills me with delight” is a shortened quote from Victor which expresses his feelings towards nature as a joyous one. The influence of nature on mood is evident throughout the novel and just like Victor feeling happy in the embrace of nature; the monster also feels his heart lighten as spring arrives after a being abandoned in the cold winter. “The weather became fine and the skies cloudless”.…

I think that Montaigne possesses a fairly optimistic view of human nature. His model was Socrates, representing the idea that human inquiry and the mind as a thinking tool is of the utmost of importance. Montaigne is renowned for wearing the medallion around his neck that suggests "What do I know," raising fundamental questions about the nature of human endeavor. Yet, I think that Montaigne's body of work suggests that this is something that he uses as an opportunity to refine the nature of the human being. The fact that Montaigne does not subscribe to anything in the nature of dogmatic or oppressive notions of the good is reflective of his idea that he saw opportunity for growth and advancement of the human being. His exploration of education…
I generally regard myself as a disorganized person. I believe this is an innate trait for me. As far as I can remember, I've always been disorganized. But throughout my life, I developed some ways to cope with it, especially after having some negative experiences. So what was the main factor that made me disorganized person? I strongly believe that it was a combination of both nature and nurture, but if I had to choose one, I would have to say that the genes that came from my father have a big impact on this trait.…
I believe that others influence people's choices. When individuals make a decision to act on one’s powers, they could either take risks that may turn out to be detrimental (How Other People’s Choices Affect Our Own, 2015). As stated by How Other People’s Choices Affect Our Own (2015), “Decisions about risky options are guided by both information, such as the likelihood of a particular outcome, and our attitudes towards risk. Other people’s decisions are known to influence our own choices of risker or safer options, but it is unknown how we incorporate them with our preferences to make a decision (para. 2). My career background is working in prisons, and I know how many of them got into this type of lifestyle. Many offenders become inmates because…
Environment versus Heredity this refers to the same as nature versus nurture. Nature refers to heredity: the genetic makeup or "genotypes" referring to information that is encoded and imprinted in a person’s Deoxyribonucleic acid otherwise called DNA. The notion of nature, therefore, refers to the biologically prescribed tendencies and capabilities individuals possess, which may unfold themselves throughout the course of life. Heredity may range from this is a specific genetic predispositions that are specific to each individual and that therefore potentially explain differences in individual characteristics example temperament, to those supposedly specific to certain groups and that therefore account for group differences in related characteristics example gender and height, and to those that are theorized to be shared by all humans and are generally thought to set humans apart from other species example the language acquisition device in humans (J. Rank,2013).…
