How Does The Privilegee Affect The Creation Of Israel?

The Israelites wanted a king very badly since all the other nations had one. They wanted a king to lead them into battle and that Samuel’s sons were corrupt, their names were Joel and Abijah. They turned aside after dishonest gain and accepted bribes and perverted justice. The elders gathered together and came to Samuel and Ramah. They said they wanted a king to lead Israel. The Lord said to Samuel to listen to the people to all that the people were saying and that it wasn’t Samuel that was rejected but the Lord, Himself. Just like the day He brought them out of Egypt until they forsaked and served other Gods. The Lord told Samuel to WARN the Israelites how the king would rule over them and claim as his rights. Samuel warns that the king would force sons to go in military, make weapons, and to work in fields. The king would force daughters to work in the palace and cook. The king would take away fields and take 107. of belongings. Samuel then concluded that when the day comes the Israelites would cry out for the relief of the king they have chosen, and the Lord won’t answer that day. The Israelites still refused to listen to Samuel. They truly wanted a king to rule over them! Samuel repeated to God everything they had told him and God agreed to give them a king.
The qualities of a king in Deuteronomy is humility and selflessness. The qualities of a king that Samuel listed is a Prideful and Selfish king that just wants power, glory, and
