Imagine growing up with super high expectations. In the movie ‘Gattaca’ a young man was professional swimmer he was meant to be the best swimmer and come first in the national swimming completion but when he came second, he couldn’t handle or live with the embarrassment and shame of losing so he tried to kill himself. Because of the genes you received from your parents when you were born. Vincent Anton was a young boy who was born to die. He was meant to only be have one of your everyday shitty jobs but he always wanted to be an astronaut but he was not perfect for that job. He tried the best he could to have the intelligence and fitness level. And even when he could do everything required for this job because his blood test said he was not ever going to be good enough.
If the world said we cannot try to be what we want what is the point in living and trying if we already know what our life will look like for example when you are born it tells you when and how you will die, all your diseases, the percent of depression, and what kind of person you will be over all. This would create such a bad life style for some if they knew they would die at the age of 32 what would the point of getting a real job if by the time you get to the age when your job becomes real you will soon die. So kids will drop out of school or maybe even never
