The Gamekeeper achieves this goal by making sure that every person’s focus remains firmly fixed on the events of the illusory world.
The reason you haven’t recognised the Gamekeeper’s influence is because it is camouflaged by the incessant ‘noise’ of your internal dialogue. The endless commotion allows the Gamekeeper the perfect opportunity to subtly influence your thoughts and actions while hiding unnoticed in the recesses of your mind.
At first, this influence is hard to recognise. But if you can understand the Gamekeeper’s role and what he is trying to do then you will soon recognise when he is leading you astray. With that in mind, let’s take a closer look at the Gamekeeper, the role he plays, and some of the tricks he will use to keep you trapped in this illusory world.

A great way to gauge whether you are falling for the Gamekeeper’s tricks is to regularly ask yourself the following question. ‘Am I turning away from the Game, or towards it?’ If you are turning away from the Game, and focusing on the truth, then you are going in the right direction. But if your actions are entrenching you deeper within the Game then you can be sure that you are heading in the wrong direction.
A great way to imagine the Gamekeeper is to picture him as a guard defending the walls of a prison. If he notices you eyeing the fences he will jump to his feet. If you approach the fence he might sound an alarm or raise his gun. Disobey him and he will fire a warning shot in the air. The craftier you become, the craftier he becomes.
