The movie Starman is a Science-Fiction about an alien that lands on Earth, and takes the form of a recently deceased husband named Scott of a widow in Wisconsin. Jenny, the widow awoke in the middle of the night to a bright blue light to find some sort of transformation happening with an end product of her dead husband. Scott explained to Jenny that he needed to get to Winslow, Arizona where the rest of his kind are waiting, so he can return back to his home planet. In the beginning Jenny hates the new form of her husband trying to escape numerous times, and claiming to be kidnapped. As time moved on she started to fall in love with this extraterrestrial in her man’s body. The government found where his ship had crashed that they shot down, and although they had no idea what it was they were determined to find it, kill it, and dissect it. Chasing them around the country, and blocking off road ways, they were still unable to stop Jenny are Starman. Everyone in the government wanted to kill this alien like creature except one person, Mark Sherman an SETI (Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence) scientist. At first Dr. Sherman was on board with the government, but eventually just wanted to get to know him, and what his lifestyle is like. Not only in this film but in reality humans all react differently to things they do not understand, or have never seen before, and it is shown in this movie. When Jenny first sees Starman she immediately goes in her drawer to retrieve her gun, but as Starman cluelessly approaches her she faints in the corner of the room. Once she awoke, and thought it was just a bad dream she soon later found her dead husband outside looking at a map. In the beginning you could say she judged a book by its cover, but after a while she had realized that Starman was not there to hurt anyone, only to visit in peace. The turning point for Jenny and Starmans
