Although Hitler was one of many brave and determined soldiers in the army, he was affected by the war (History.com Staff). The author of an article stated, “He won several awards for bravery, including the Iron Cross First Class”, which prove that he was a courage man (History.com Staff). After a recovery from a gas attack, he spent a lot of time in depression, which revealed that Hitler was influenced by his career in the military because he experienced many serious and brutal hardships (History.com Staff).
Additionally after WWI, Hitler went in prison for high treason because he led an unsuccessful Nazis’ coup to seize the government (History.com Staff). In order to relieve his stress in prison, he wrote a book called “Mein Kampf”. It contains his personal ideas on the causes of Germany’s collapse and expressed Hitler’s hatred towards the Jews by blaming them for what had happened in WWI (Military-Quote). According to Hitler, it was the Nazi party who makes decision but he then stated, “Surely every man will have advisers by his side, but the decision will be made by one man”(Military-Quote). From his book, he brainwashed the German people by giving awful view on the Jews because they were physically different.
While Hitler was the dictator of Germany, he made many bad decisions.
First, Germany became a Fascist government under Hitler, in which the government had a the total control over a person’s private life (Key). His next mission was to eliminate the Jews to protect the Aryans race, which is the “master race” (Military-Quotes). He used propaganda to create discrimination against the Jews in Germany and many people were not educated enough to understand that it was a lie (Key). The Nazi make a legal policy that blaming the Jews and banishing them were law (Military-Quotes). The Jews were sent to concentration camp and treated with no mercy by the SS (Key). They were forced to killed the Jews and were in constant feared that they would get killed if they did not complete their tasks

Germany began to collapse because the Allied Powers attacked them from different directions (Battle of Normandy). While they were retreating and returning, Hitler decided to kill the Jews faster to hide the evidence. McDougal Littell, an author of the Modern World History book, stated, “Hitler soon grew impatient waiting for the Jews to die from starvation or disease. He decided to take more direct action. His plan was called the “Final Solution”(503). He did that to prevent repatriation by concealing the witnesses and what they went through. Eventually, before Germany surrendered, Hitler decided to send all his powerful troops to the West front, hoping to break the Allies' line (Battle of Normandy). It was his last ordered before he committing suicide with his wife before the Soviet Union troops discovered them (Key). His downfall impacted the mass genocide during WWII because he was making a big mistake.
In conclusion, Adolf Hitler played a huge role during WWII through the causes of WWII, his dictatorship, and his downfall. WWII was the largest and bloodiest war ever in the history of the world and the Holocaust was unforgettable. Besides the Jews, many other groups of people were being killed for different reasons. The war brought no benefits to the people, the aftermath was direful. However, it proved to the later generation with a better understanding that war only causes problems and there should not be another global war like WWII. WWII's visual still appear in the world today through books, movies, education, and more. It still occurs today in our life, people discussed about it, read about it, and most importantly, they learned from it.
