Seeing the play for Romeo and Juliet expanded my understanding of the book and helped me to visualize the characters better. The play’s setting in the 20s during prohibition made the play different from the book and the acting helped explain some of the major plot points that I had a hard time understanding during our unit on Romeo and Juliet.
