How Should Life Be Valued
The Value Of Life
How would you value life? Life should be valued by experience and what you truly love to do. People should take chances for what they want in life, instead of fear of failure, and follow their dreams and goals in life.
People have to take chances for what they want in life nothing is ever free you have to work for what you want. For instance when Steve Jobs states “Remembering that I’ll be dead soon is the most important tool I’ve ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life” (Jobs 88). He is showing that we are going to die either way so we should at least die doing what we love or at least take a chance to do that. He is also announcing that we should not die with any regrets in life. Then William Shakespeare divulge in his Soliloquy “But that the dread of something after death… No traveler returns, puzzles the will, And makes us rather bear those ills we have than fly to others that we know not of?” (Shakespeare 65). This is showing how we fear the unknown and how we prefer to stay in the known then take a chance to explore. People should over all take more chances because you are going to die at the end no matter what lifestyle you choice. At the end people should take most of the chances they get in the day and make the most out of it.
In addition to taking chances there should be no reason why you should not follow your dreams and goals in life. Like how Steve Jobs states in his commencement speech “You’ve got to find what you love… And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle.” (Jobs 88). This is showing how people should strive for their dreams and not stop until they reach them. To also never settle for anything less than what their goals are.
