My Personal Interests

The interests I have are playing hockey and basketball. I also like being with my friends and helping others even if I don’t know that person that well. Weather it is helping someone with their homework or helping someone asking for directions. Another interest I have is reading because I know it will benefit me later on in life. These are my interests.
My Personal Values

There are a few things that I value in my life. I value my family, friends and my education. If I didn’t have my family in my life then there would be no one to care for me and help me grow up. If I didn’t have an education then how are you supposed to be successful in life? I always try my best in school because I am lucky to have a great education and it wouldn’t be right to take it for granted. These are my personal values in life.

My Personal Skills

The personal skills I have are being responsible, honesty and respectfulness. I am responsible by being to each class and getting my homework done on time. I am honest by always telling the truth even if it means that I would get into trouble. It wouldn’t be right if I lied to someone and someone else got in trouble if they didn’t do anything. I am also respectful by not saying negative things about my class mate’s ideas and giving them a chance on what they want to say. These are my personal skills.

Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant are two of the greatest basketball players to ever live. The way they play the game is memorizing. These two athletes are very extraordinary, though only one can be called the greatest of all time. The debate still and will always continue on who is the best. On one hand, there is the 6 time NBA champion in Michael Jordan; in the other there is the phenom who scored eighty- one points in one game, Kobe Bryant. In my opinion, Michael Jordan is and will always be the greatest basketball player to ever play the game. When I think of the word, "legend", only one name comes to my mind and that name is Michael Jordan. Even the president of the United States thinks MJ is the better choice. "Oh, Michael," the lifelong basketball fan told The Associated Press "I mean Kobe's terrific. Don't get me wrong," Obama said of the four-time NBA champion. "But I haven't seen anybody match up with Jordan yet". Michael Jordan tops Kobe Bryant in many ways, such as: offense, defense, and overall career achievements.…

In order to live day by day, I simply follow five core values that make me the person I am today. The five core values that I live by are: family, education, honesty, responsibility, and open-minded. Core values are important to live by because they are what makes a person and it is important to see someone’s characteristics of what they value. According to dictionary.com, the definition of value is “the regard that something is held to deserve; the importance, worth, or usefulness of something” (dictionary.com, 2016). Like the definition states, values are something of importance and each individual cherishes different values, which they find important and what fits their lives in the best way. My family are the one’s who…

The values that I hold most deeply are friendships, family, and happiness. Values are things that are important in the way I live and work and I believe all of these things play a major role in my life. Since I was a little kid, my values have changed tremendously. Back then, my values would've been playtime, mac & cheese, and chicken nuggets. I believe values mature as you grow and mine definatly did. For example, when I was younger I remember being friends with everyone, but now I only have a select number of friends. This represents values to me. My values inform my actions by them always being my first thought while making a decision. They always play a role in my…

Three things my parents have taught me to value are our integrity, hard work, and love. I choose to live with integrity because that’s what my parents have taught me. If I didn’t have the integrity I inherited from them, I do not think I would be a successful student. Because I have integrity I choose not to cheat, or be dishonest with my professors. My parents have also taught me to value hard work. One thing I will say that I love about myself is my work ethic. I work extremely hard which is why I am successful at pretty much everything I do. I always want to be the hardest working person in the room, whether it’s the hardest working student, employee, daughter, or volunteer. Lastly, my parents have taught me to love everyone equally. This helps me in college because when I see students who are alone, I’m not afraid to conversant with…

My personal value starts with happiness. Undoubtedly, happiness is the most important part in our lives. But if you ask different individuals what is happiness, there are absolutely a wide variety of answers you would hear. It is difficult to define happiness because it means different things to different people. Happiness to me is the state of consciousness which proceed from the achievement of one’s values. Basically to be happy all personal values must be met. I also think that happiness is the meaning and the purpose of life, the whole aim and end of human existence. I don’t think life is possible without happiness.…

kobe bryant is the bestIt's "the trial that changed South Africa." In the fall of 1963, Nelson Mandela and ten other leading opponents of South Africa's apartheid regime went on trial for their lives. The charges (in what is often called "the Rivonia trial" for the Johannesburg suburb that was the location of the hideout for a militant wing of the African National Congress) were sabotage and conspiracy, and there was little doubt that but that Mandela and most of the other defendants would be found guilty. Desperate times had dictated desperate measures. Standing in the dock at the Palace of Justice in Pretoria, Mandela announced that "the ideal of a democratic and free society" is one "for which I am prepared to die." [CONTINUED]Lieutenant van Wyk his informant were a week into their search for what the informant insisted was the hide-away of the ANC and members of its military wing, Umkhonto we Sizwe. Finally, as the two men traveled yet another road in Johannesburg's northern suburbs, the informant spotted a gabled house that he recognized. Down the next bend in the road, near a weathered sign bearing the name "Rivonia," the informant saw a gate that he said stood a few hundred yards from a farmhouse that was the secret meeting place of the leadership of South Africa's most determined anti-apartheid activists.…
