Many years ago, in America, there lived only Indians. Then the Americans came in and slowly, with peace contracts, pushed them in the reservations where they were allowed to do anything they wish including culture like the ghost dance. Now that they were pushed into the reservations, we would think that they had a good life. They had land, buffalos, and much more. Suddenly, the Americans somehow found a way to cause the Native Americans way of life to end. In this essay you will find out how the Indian culture ended and how they got rid of the ghost dance buffalos, and Indian leaders. The first problem I will explain is the ghost dance. The ghost dance was a ceremony that the Indians would do according to their culture. Some Americans told on them to the government saying that this ceremony was just an excuse for them to get together and plan a war. After hearing this, the government issued that the ghost dance will be banned. This is one of the reasons how the Native American way of life ended. Another way that the Americans stopped them was since they put the Indians in the reservations their buffalos, which is also part of their culture, could not survive due to the land. Some buffalos would run away before they even got there, the buffalos that stayed would die because there wouldn’t be any grass left. The Indians felt terrible when this part of their culture was taken away. One more answer to the question, is the following. Although the Americans tried to help them, it actually made it worse. What they tried to do is make the Americans not come in and try to fight. Therefore, they set up an American leader for the Native Americans to be in charge
And make sure that there will be no fighting between Indians and Americans. What they didn’t know is that the Indians had their own leaders which are also part of their culture. Now, most of their culture is lost.
As you see, because of the Americans, the Indians culture
