How to be a successful manager
Manager means a person who plans, organizes, directs, and controls the allocation of human, material, financial, and information resources in pursuit of the organization’s goal. There are many different kinds of managers such as department managers, product managers, account managers, plant managers, division managers, district managers, and task force managers. But in different types of organizations, they need different kinds of managers. Such as, First-line Managers, Middle Managers, Top Managers, and Small-business Managers. There are different managers, but they have one thing in common is responsible for the results of a group of people struggle, regardless of an organization’s specific goals, the job of managers is to help the organization achieve those goals. Therefore how to be a successful manager is the process of setting goals. These goals should not be easy to achieve, but they should not be impossible either. It is okay to be tough on your employees as long as you are fair. Be tough on every member of your team. Hold them all to the same standards, and give them all the same consequences for their actions. Being a successful manager requires you to motivate and push people to be as productive as they possibly can without building contempt in them. If you are hard on one employee and easy on another, you will not have the respect of the team. To be a successful manager you must not allow yourself to have mood swings. If your style is to be mean, then be mean. If your style is to be nice, then be nice. Being a successful manager also requires you to be consistent with your goals and expectations. If you make a rule, and it is broken, be consistent with your punishment. If you allow your employees to bend certain rules, be consistent with not punishing them for it. Be a good manager by acting the same in these types of situations. Never make it seem as though you reward and punish based on how you feel at the time.
