April 11, 1970 is the date when Apollo 13 was cleared to launch from Houston’s Mission Control Center. Apollo seemed to be in great condition until after their third day upon arrival in space. One of the Houston’s Mission Control engineer’s directed one of the astronauts to turn on the liquid oxygen tank stirring fans. As soon as it was turned on the oxygen tank exploded causing the oxygen to be released in the atmosphere. If I was in this same predicament I would have sent the astronauts with a supply of oxygen tanks. Oxygen is a necessity to live, you can only go six minutes without having oxygen so there should have been more sources of getting oxygen then just from the tank. Also I would have sent more filters on rocket to help the carbon dioxide levels to go down at a quicker pace than it did. Finally if the rocket was to ever have other malfunctions which leads to cutting off of the engine I would have made sure the astronauts had blankets or heated blankets that they can carry on the rocket with them in a time it gets too
