As it is with any constitution, there are factors that bind together a union and there are those that set a union aside. Here, we look at some of the things that one can do to counter the separation of spouses:
Well, for a marriage to be saved, it takes either one spouse or both. Some of the things addressed here are:
The commitment involved should be very high, such that if on a scale of 1-10 you gave 6, one being the least, it would be necessary to have more effort and commitment the marriage.
It is essential that, even when trying, you should also work on yourself because if you always work on being strong as an individual, you will give a lot to the marriage. As much as this is asked, you may wonder how you can go this extra mile. However, for you to handle any shortcomings in a relationship, you must be strong.
It has been proven that in this life every one needs a friend and even in marriage, the spouses need to stay connected as friends. Let them confide, find solace and comfort in each other.
Communication is another key factor that should be observed in any relationship and this can only be achieved if you can identify each other as friends first.
The goal in solving any crisis is to learn and not to ridicule your partner. So it is recommended, that creation of a suitable environment is paramount. By this I mean create a forum for talk. Even if there are mistakes done, do not be so quick to ridicule.

He has a section named “Internalizing the Values needed to build & maintain a strong relationship” (McGraw, 2000). In class we discussed some of these very characteristics. Values and qualities such as the 10 Heart Qualities and the 10 Character Qualities.
