How To Start A Persuasive Essay On Abortion
Abortion. A very heated debate about life or death of an unborn child. Some citizens think it’s the women’s choice if she wants to keep the baby or not, however, many think about it as “murder”. Some abortions can happen naturally, they are called a miscarriage. However, women can also choose to abort the baby because they’re not ready to have a child or they are unable to support the child. In some cases the mother may have been raped or sexually assaulted and does not want to continue her pregnancy, but adoption is always a acceptable choice.
Abortion is Murder. In some situations, people believe that “unborn babies are considered human beings by the US government. The federal Unborn Victims of Violence Act, which was enacted "to protect unborn children from assault and murder” ("Abortion ProCon.org"). However, other people believe that unborn babies are considered a fetus and not a human. Once the egg has been fertilized the fetus has a

According to WomensCenter.com “One woman dies every 7 minutes around the world due to an unsafe illegal abortion. Women who undergo illegal abortions are those who are very poor and do not have access to family planning facilities for education and prevention of unwanted pregnancies” ("Abortion Statistics”). Nearly 50% of pregnancies are unplanned ones, and 25% of those are aborted. There are close to 42 million abortions a year and 21 million of those are done illegally. Also, about 2% of women who are aged 15-44 have had an abortion. About 88% of abortions are done within the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. A little over half of all abortions performed in the U.S. are done before 8 weeks of pregnancy. “6.7% occur between 13 and 15 weeks, 3.5% occur between 16 and 20 weeks, and 1.1% of abortions occur at 21 weeks or greater.” ("Abortion Statistics”). As you can see here, abortions are very dangerous and can even kill you if it is not done the proper

Abortion is a term used for the termination of the pregnancy by removing of the embryo or the fetus from the uterus of a woman. The abortion takes place in two ways. It can be induced abortion or it can be spontaneous abortion. In the induced abortion, the pregnancy is aborted intentionally, but the spontaneous abortion take place of its own due to some natural or accidental reasons. But whatever be the reason, the word abortion is always a burning issue in the society and politics. In the United States, abortions were legalized after the case Roe v. Wade, 1973 ruled that laws banning abortion were unconstitutional. Since then, groups supporting the right to abortion (“pro choice”) and groups against abortion (“pro life”) have continued to have ideological battles over which argument should be the law of the land. However, a woman is best capable of deciding whether or not she is able and willing to care for a child. Thus, she should similarly be able to decide whether or not she wishes to terminate an unwanted pregnancy.…

The Devil has made abortion one of the most controversial topics of today, when it shouldn't even be up for debate in the first place. With all excuses and theories set aside, you will still be faced with the question: “Is it truly the better option to end the life of your unborn child than to give him or her up to have a chance at life?”…

The main argument pertaining to abortion is whether or not a fetus is a "person" that is "indistinguishable from the rest of us" and if it deserves rights equal to women's. On this question there is a tremendous spectrum of religious, philosophical, scientific, and medical opinion, but it all really depends on who you ask. It's been argued for centuries. Fortunately, our society has recognized that each woman must be able to make this decision, based on her own conscience. To impose a law defining a fetus as a "person," granting it rights equal to or superior to a woman's, thinking, feeling, conscious human being, is not only arrogant but absurd. It only serves to diminish a woman's value. (Heritage House 76, Inc.)Under the view of pro choice supporters the embryo is not a baby since it can not survive and live outside the uterus since it receives everything needed to survive from the mother's body. In a sense the fetus dies but it was never living to begin with so it can not be considered an act of murder as pro-lifers would argue. More simply consider acorns and trees. (Robinson) Just as an acorn is a fertilized egg of the oak, that does not make it a tree. Sure it has the potential to become an oak tree, but it has not yet grown to that…

Having an abortion does not cause harm nor is it killing a person. So, is abortion really murder? When does a person become a person? Will you need a brain a heart and other working body parts? A fetus brain does not work while it is developing nor does its heart. Even we need our hearts to beat to be alive. The fetus does not feel pain while being aborted this is backed by science. The spinal cord and nerves are not developed to feel pain. 89-92% of all abortions happen during the first trimester, prior to the 13th week of pregnancy (CDC). 1.4% occurred after twenty-one weeks' of a pregnancy (CDC). The 1.4 that took place after the 21 week mark was because the fetus was fatal to mother if it was not removed. Embryos and fetuses are not independent beings. They cannot live on their own and are not self-sustaining. Birth days are counted from the day they take their first breath in this earth, not the time that a male and female conceive them. . The majority vote in favor in Roe v. Wade states that "the word 'person,' as used in the Fourteenth Amendment [of the US Constitution], does not include the…

How would it be like if you weren’t allowed to choose what happens to your future? Some women do not get the luxury of choosing for themselves due to some laws set and they do not get the option whatsoever. That should be different as women are the ones who carry the babies, not the ones who are voting against it. Even though the baby never had the chance to live life, women should have the right to choose what they want to do with their baby because it may be bad for the women herself to have to care of a baby, they may not be prepared for a baby, and we do not know their circumstances of the situation.…

Whoever assists in the act of abortion must be sentenced. Do not let the thought of mercy corrupt your minds, for if an abortionist were granted acquittal, his detestable work will be encouraged instead of outlawed. ( Consequence ) The abortionist does not only harm one, but instead causes suffering and loss to many, even the judges who consider his case; for the judge's own grandchildren could fall to the same fate others have if the abortionist is not found guilty.
