Dear Mrs. Rowley,
I am looking forward to English 11 Honors this year. Even though English is my weakest subject, I really want to strengthen my areas of need with your help. I want to make English one of my strongest subjects this year, because I really want to be prepared for the SOls, since we did not have them for English in the past three years.
There is a lot I want to share with you about me. I am really interested in sports. I am mostly into basketball, and I go to the gym almost everyday practicing and playing for 4 hours. I really hope I can make the team this year. I also like to play football with friends. My favorite subject is math, because there is not much reading and I can learn it really fast. I love to sketch, paint, and sculpt. I really like listening to music, because it motivates me and relieves stress. I always like to learn something cool and interesting. Throughout my life I have learned many useless talents like origami, juggling balls, spinning books, and walking on my hands. I also play the piano and violin but I lost interest now. My favorite food is Indian food, because there is always an explosion of flavor and it’s really spicy. This is actually the starting of my first full year in Oakton, because I moved in the middle of last school year from Woodson high school.
My dad is pretty similar to me. He loves music, and plays the guitar, but he totally hates sports. My dad is pretty chill and is actually not very strict, until it comes to discipline and obedience. My mom is a lot different from my dad and I, because she does not like music or sports. She is extremely strict with school and grades. My mom is good at cooking, and her favorite thing to do in her free time is watch movies. I am an only child and I am happy to be an only child, because I get all the care and support!
What I’ve liked about English in the past years were the great books we’ve read, and
