The Industrial Revolution was converted the way work was done. During the Industrial Revolution the best way to make goods and items were created by a factory system. New farming techniques were used in the mid 1700s. The Industrial Revolution had a new way of farming because of this new better way of farming more food was made for the population increase in Europe. One of the new farming methods that was used during the Industrial Revolution was crop rotation. When the steam engine was invented this lead to factories having a demand for working faster. Faster transportation was also popularized. Canals and roads were built to transport goods and people from one place to another. A great improvement to faster transportation was the railroad which was steam-powered. Railroads were not also fast but they also increased profits. The railroad system accelerated coal and iron industries. Railroads were a great way to produce steel, coal, and iron. England made more iron than other nations combined by the 1800s. To produce railroad tracks and steam engines a bunch of iron was needed to make it happen. Steam allowed engineers to design a much more powerful machines because of this machine the engineers could make longer bridges and much taller buildings. There was a demand for more workers to make these buildings and bridges. Women would bring their children into work as a way to watch their children and get their job done.
