Flashbulb memory is a distinctive and vivid memory. They are also long lasting, accurate and detailed. These memories are from personal circumstances surrounding a person’s discovery of shocking events. People remember these memories with clear details of the emotions they were feeling, the place where they were, and what they were doing when they first heard the news. These memories are so vivid that people can even remember irrelevant details, such as, weather or what they were wearing. Even though a flashbulb memory could be from previous years early, people can remember these memories like they just happened yesterday. Although, people remember what events happened on these certain days they can’t remember what they did the day before or possibly the day after. The aspect that makes these memories a lifelong memory is the emotion behind the memory.…

The paragraph most effective was the first paragraph, it talks speaks of wills. I found it the most effective because it is a subject that should concern everyone. I found it interesting because it states that everyone needs a will and that is true. Not everyone has a will and the writer speaks of the tragedies that happened to him because of his father not possessing a will. Sentence variety means using different styles of sentences, either they are long or short, or use different rhythms. The writer of the sentence was a bit boring and he did not have a good rhythm, after I was done reading the short paragraph, I became annoyed. The author of the paragraph did not have a good rhythm because he became a little repetitive at the end of the paragraph. Throughout the middle of the paragraph the author states that his father did not have a will, at the end, the author talks about not being able to start college soon enough and once again, he mentions his father did not have a will.…

Students are forcing the reduction of their teachers' performance expectations. When teachers begin their careers, they hope to shape the minds of future leaders as they equip students with thinking skills. College professors instruct hundreds of students every term, often with only that one opportunity to influence each of them. In the process of teaching, instructors see students pushing beyond the limits of reason, and it tests their mettle. Two teachers have written essays about their experiences in light of these challenges. Ellen Laird's "I'm Your Teacher, Not Your Internet-Service Provider" and Carolyn Foster Segal's "The Dog Ate My Flash Drive, and Other Tales of Woe" share similar assessments on teaching college students. Each author serves as an English professor, stylistically relating the trials of dealing with students' misbehaviors, but representing perspectives from different learning environments.…

H2testw -- by Harald Bögeholz / c't Magazin für ComputertechnikData integrity test for USB sticks and other mediaVersion 1.4, Copyright (C) 2008 Heise Zeitschriften Verlag GmbH & Co. KG========================================================================H2testw was developed to test USB sticks for various kinds of errors. It can also be used for any other storage media like memory cards, internal and external hard drives and even network volumes. The executable file H2testw.exe needs no installation and can bedirectly run. It was developed for Windows XP and Vista. It shouldalso work under Windows 2000 but was only tested on XP and Vista.Windows 9x/ME is not supported. You can use the older command lineprogram H2test under these operating systems. The function of H2testw is quite simple: It fills the chosen targetdirectory with test data and then reads it back and verifies it.H2testw does not overwrite or erase any existing data. It doesn'tdo any low-level tricks so administrator privileges are not required. If your hardware is working properly H2testw will not harm anyexisting data.BUT: _If_ the hardware is defective then H2testw is designed to findthat defect and might as a side effect damage existing files. Therefore: IF YOU SUSPECT A USB STICK OR OTHER STORAGE MEDIA TO BEDEFECTIVE, EMPTY IT AND TEST IT COMPLETELY WITH H2TESTW. Only emptymedia can be fully tested with H2testw. In order to be able toreproduce the results we recommend to format the media (quick formatwill do) and then test it.H2testw writes files of up to 1 GByte to the chosen destination andnames them 1.h2w, 2.h2w, 3.h2w and so on. If the target directoryalread contains such a set of files H2testw will offer to verify them.If there are any other files named *.h2w it will refuse to work. Inthat case please erase all files *.h2w and hit the Refresh button. After it is done the software leaves its test files on the medium. You can erase them if you like or verify them again -- if it's a USBstick for…
