Summary:
The Dar-e-Arqam schools (foundation) was visited with a view to critically examine its process of training new employees. It is one of the largest organizations in the education field especially for the junior level and middle level education.
The organization has a very good training procedure for all of its employees who are new recruits. The employees are all given initial training with reference to their respective cadre i.e. junior school teachers, middle level teachers etc. The training process consists of lectures regarding the behavior expected in the organization and how the teachers should behave with students, peers and parents.
Then there is also training sessions of teaching in the manner which is in line with the strategic context of the organization. Some teachers for some time work as an understudy to some senior teachers. Relatively senior teachers are trained directly by the principal and only understudy for maximum one week.
The training program lacks the recording of the employees’ potential record at the time of interview and also there is no consideration for the emotional training of the employees. If these issued are addressed than in our opinion Dar-e-Arqam will become one of the best organizations to give an excellent training to the new teachers who join the organization.
