Employee Reward System
When it comes to most employees those that are rewarded in some type of way when doing a good at their job tend to be more successful and get more work done on a daily basis, as well as their work being of better quality because they are working harder to get it done the right way. The reason why rewards work better is because if they want the reward enough then they do what they have to do to make sure that they are rewarded. When it comes to Human Service Management organizations they are usually very stressful and overwhelming for the employee so offering a reward will also make the employee feel appreciated and noticed as this in turn helps them to feel motivated. In order to come up with a reward system for this type of organization you want to keep in mind what your employees enjoy and what type of work they have been doing. It is important that the reward fit the work that is being done so that the reward can be successful and do what it is supposed to do. When the reward system is successful then the employees and even the managers are happy and in turn produce very good work. When the rewards are more personalized then the employee knows that you have recognized them as an individual.
One way to find a good reward system is to ask the opinions of the employees who are being rewarded so that they have some type of input and this will help the reward to work. Sending out a questionnaire or survey can help with this part of putting together a reward system. This way the employees can say what they think and have a large amount of input. Some examples of what to use for reward system would be extra time off, bonuses, and then some material things like gift cards, gift baskets, lunch, and other things. At my job they supply things like extra uniforms, special recognition buttons, plaques, ect. It makes people put in more effort knowing that they are respected and will be rewarded for a
