Nowadays, the issue regarding the priority between protecting endangered animals and solving social problems of humankind is put into fierce debates among citizens. From my perspective, I tend to believe that it’s more essential for us to deal with problems which are related to ourselves.
At first glance, protecting animals seems to be necessary due to its scientific value, yet further reflections suggest that giving the priority to animal conservations will distract our focuses on the economic constructions in some areas and probably leave the residents there in high poverty rate. For example, when we want to protect pandas in Sichuan Province, it is usually the case that we have to spend large amount of money on their habitant build and providing them with veterinary care and food as well. By doing these, there is apparently no adequate financial support when it comes to the issue of improving residents’ living conditions. Consequently, there is a high chance that modern infrastructures will not be seen and local people’s education and medical care will also stay in an inferior level because of inadequate economic investments. However, if we concentrate more on our realistic matters, we are more likely to have a rich, colorful and convenient life.
In addition, focusing more on the human problems will also be beneficial to optimize employment environment. Have you ever forgotten the scene that mountainous people gather at the job fair to look for jobs? If concentrations made on increasing job positions in a company by enlarging its scale and investing more money to help it involve a wider range of business around the world, people can find a satisfying job more easily.
