of development during late adulthood
Physical: in late adulthood our physical need can change as the ageing process means our mobility can slow down due to age related illness such as arthritis one of the most common forms of this is osteoporosis where the bones become brittle and can break easily this is most common in women. Also our senses become slower this can affect our hearing and vision. This can have a negative impact on their lives. As the person progresses in late adulthood it is very important to looking at their nutritional needs as good nutrition can help the immune system so lesser risk of colds and flu.

of development of Sheila as well as my own personal prejudices, fears and anxieties.
Physical: the physical changes in Sheila in the past number of years has been slow, she suffers from osteoporosis but due to being active and having a good balanced diet which includes calcium and vitamin D her condition has deteriorated at a slow rate. One of the things I noticed is her back has become slightly curved this is due to diminished bone mass also she is very careful in frosty weather as she has a fear of falls. Apart from this her physical health is good this can be put down to a healthy lifestyle she does not smoke or drink.
Intellectual: we have noticed in the past year or so that Sheila has become a little more forgetful but nothing major, she still lives alone and can attend to her everyday needs such as cooking and personal hygiene without any problems. She likes doing crosswords and reading books. This keeps her mind active and passes the time for her when she is alone. It also keeps her busy and by keeping busy so far she has no problems with depression or
