    The first concern would be the effect the change would have to our customers, shareholders, employees, departments, and the community. There would be plenty of communication session regarding the change. Employees would not only be given information about the positive and the negative aspects of the new concept but would have opportunities to ask questions and voice their concerns as well. This will help to do any problem-solving in the groundbreaking stage. One negative aspect of my organization is that the employees were not given any information or asked their opinions regarding the move. There should have been surveys, questionnaires or meetings to give and get some feedback. The strategies and goals of an organization rely on employees’ involvement as well as commitment. There would be plenty of training offered to everyone. The Human Resource Management aspects must include acquiring, preparing, compensating, and training and developing for the employees. There will need to be policies changes made as well, employees would be asked their input in developing the new policies. Boundaries that were previously established would be abandoned.     Food safety is a topic that did not really cross people’s mind too much until recently. Due to a number of illnesses caused by tainted foods in the past couple years or so, this subject has moved to the front of many individuals’ minds. Food safety issues come about during the sanitation, processing, handling, and shipping of foods across America.     There are many different functions and roles of law in the business society. When describing employment law, there is a broad area that governs how employers interact with their employees, former employees and applicants for employment. These laws and regulations are not meant to be described in a short paper. They are detailed laws that require application to an employee’s specific situation and should be discussed at length to ensure the correct interpretation of the regulation. As an office manager that was put in charge of the Human Resources department of my organization, I was thrust into a world of complex laws that took many hours to understand. To be given this type of “fight or flight” role in my company was stressful to say the least. Ensuring compliance with federal regulations regarding organizations such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, or learning about COBRA laws should be administered by someone with many hours of training in employment law. To be thrust into the fire of this situation at my company was careless of the management and they were ripe for a possible lawsuit if an employee felt the regulations were out of compliance. It is for this reason that I chose to evaluate the website of the U.S. Department of Labor and the website of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. As an HR professional these websites are very helpful in outlining the laws and regulations that apply to each and every employee.…
