Causes and Prevention of Burnout
Motivated and dedicated individual are more likely to burnout that an average employee. In high stressed work environments an employee can feel burnout. This is especially true as human service providers because he or she is consistently working with the public. Understanding the factors that cause burnout and how to prevent burnout will reduce the effect. Understanding how I react and respond to personal and work-related stress, reducing the effect of burnout, and how I can assist staff burnout will increase work production and create a healthy environment.

A burnout can leave a person feeling helpless and miserable. Understanding and acknowledging the signs and symptoms of the causes of burnouts is very important so that one can avoid this from happening. A variety of issues are apparent in a workplace; including stress on the job, job dissatisfaction, promotion opportunities, and disagreements with administration. Any individual can have a moment of burnout; personal factor for example can cause burnout. If individual set unrealistic goals that person is placing high expectation setting them up for failure. As a manager, there are several things that you can do to assist an employee such as offering support, try to find a way to make his or her work load more sustainable, build a sense of community and offer more praise and rewards. Another way of offering suggestive means to avoiding or overcoming a burnout is to share personal tips that have worked for you in the past.
