Husband's Relationship With Gambling
For my case study, I worked with providing consultation series to a friend. Her husband was believed to have had an issue with gambling. Our goal was to decrease the number of days that he spent gambling. We did this with self-monitoring, positive reinforcements, and rewards. This intervention was deemed effective in decreasing the number of days that her husband spent gambling. I used a coercive and reward power model. Consultee has the ability to influence her husband with her approval or disapproval. She also was responsible for praising and delivering the rewards if he complied.
