1) There are vines growing on the ship and grape clusters, which are written in the book on lines thirty-eight and thirty-nine.
2) When Dionysus turns the pirates into dolphins, as seen on the cup, as well as written on line fifty-three.
3) Dionysus, who is on the boat in the book and the picture, can be seen taking majority of the boat portion up on the cup. Differences I have found between the boat and the Hymn is:

The scene on the cup and the story being told in the Hymn to Dionysus is far too great to be considered similar. The differences between the painted cup and the short Hymn have more differences listed than they do similar. The artist experiences a different opinion on how they show the story being told. By creating this cup, the Hymn to Dionysus was retold in a new way. If someone viewed this cup before reading the Hymn, knowing little knowledge about Dionysus, the person would be confused when reading the Hymn, and vice versa. I thought it was a neat perspective to see the different ideas/stories people create off of one small hymn. It shows that everyone thinks differently and has different
