Some signs of inattention are always being distracted. They are usually staring into space, daydreaming, or looking around the room. People with inattention might be forgetful, unorganized, do not follow through, or loses important items, such as keys, a wallet, assignments, glasses, or phone. They dislike tasks that involve too much thinking. Analysis is difficult for them to do. People with inattention cannot keep their attention on their work for very long periods of time. They chose shorter, easier paths in life. People with ADHD do not process as fast or as well as everyone else. They have a difficult time with homework. They leave it at school, grab the wrong assignment, and/or full of errors. Dr. Robert Myers also states that,”But focusing deliberate, conscious attention to organizing and completing a task or learning something new is difficult.” People with ADHD might have one or more of these signs of inattention.
You can help people with inattention. Getting a schedule helps them. This helps them be more organized and on time. Writing work, assignments, or important tasks down helps.
