Critical thinking, in general, refers to higher-order thinking that questions assumptions. It is a way of deciding whether a claim is true, false. It means thinking about your thinking. Looking deeper and taking all points of view into consideration, looking at the big picture. Critical thinkers are able to analyze issues from a wide variety of angles. They get their news from a wide variety of sources, one can have rational conversations with people you disagree with, one is willing to change their mind when and if you discover you were wrong, and one has creative, innovative, and original ideas. Critical thinking gives you an intellectual approach that enables you to select from the available information that which is relevant to you. I have been out of a job for about eight months now and I am having a hard time finding a new job that makes decent money. I can find a job that does not utilize my degree however I will continue to struggle. I became depressed, angry, and ashamed on where I am at in life. I began to think of the jobs that I am interested in and just about all of them are asking for a Bachelors degree. Well, I began to think about what I want to accomplish in life and furthering my education will help with that. I know continuing to be depressed will not help my situation. I expect to learn how to think more outside the box, how to analyze every detail and make the best decision for me and my family and career.…
