My dreams and aspirations would be for me to have my own business. It would be very unlikely for a black person to own their own business during this time. I would want nothing but the best for my family. Everyday life would be a struggle. It would be hard having to walk around knowing that the color of your skin causes you to be a walking target. If I were to have kids, I would want my kids to be the strongest and most educated black children they could be. My children would be just as educated as the white children by any means necessary. It would be a great test, but it would also build character and a strong ambition to be a hard-working child and student. I would strive to set an example for my family to be a strong African American living in the South. There is no one that has been pushed beyond limits other than African Americans. During this time, African Americans are treated so unfairly. They cannot work as much, receive education, and can barely own their own
