Ideal House
First of all I'd like to say that all of us have our own ideas and dreams about a perfect home, because "home" can't mean the same to everybody. But I'm sure that for all people home is not just a place to live in. Home is your little world where you live according (согласно) to your own rules and interests. It's a place where you feel comfort, warmth [wɔːmθ] and reliability, [rɪˌlaɪə'bɪlətɪ] (надежность) that's why we say "East or West, home is best" (в гостях хорошо, а дома лучше) and the English say "My home is my castle" (мой дом – моя крепость). But what an ideal home is everybody decides for himself.
My dream is to live in a detached house. The relaxed environment is really important for me and because of that I would like to live in a quiet place near a woods or a river, far from a city’s noise on the countryside, maybe in England. I would like a huge garden with stone walkway ['wɔːkweɪ] (дорожка; аллея) surrounded [sə'raund] (окружать) by flowering plants, a small lake and a terrace ['terɪs] - with wooden furniture, ['fɜːnɪʧə] (мебель) with a hammock ['hæmək] (гамак) and a Jacuzzi where I can meditate, (обдумывать, размышлять) read and drink a coffee on the sunny afternoons.
The interior [ɪn'tɪərɪə] would be also comfortable and the design should be a mixture of different styles. The rooms will be furnished ['fɜːnɪʃt] (обставлена) by wooden things; the walls would be painted in pastel ['pæst(ə)l] and light colors and covered ['kʌvəd] (покрыты) by photos of my family and friends. I would like many windows overlooking (выходящих на) a valley (долина) or a river. I love art so I think my rooms will be cluttered ['klʌtə] with different decorations and modern pictures.
In the living room there should be a stone fireplace and in front of that a rug, (ковер) a huge sofa ['səufə] (диван) and armchairs [ˌɑːm'ʧeə] (кресло). Here I can spend long winter evenings sitting in an armchair and listening to pleasant music or sipping (потягивая, попивая) coffee. I

Home is a place central to relationships and therefore family and a sense of belonging. In the poem both sense of belonging and no-belonging the Skrzynecki`s felt are revealed. Peter opens the poem nostalgically, `for nineteen years` and `each morning` in a repetitive way that reinforces a regular, comfortable and homely existence. The adjectival phrase, `under a rusty bucket` represents the longevity of their time living in the house which suggests a place where they feel they belong and are secure as they hide the key under a bucket. Moreover, the simile `like adopted children ‘reveals the effort and devotion of the poet`s parents to their special children. The description of the house, painted in a `china-blue coat` suggests protection from a harsh environment. However their ability to feel a lasting sense of safety is taken away by the council`s decision to pull down the house, thus we see that while belonging is attached to places of significance, it can be impermanent and affected by forces beyond our control. The communal haven of togetherness, ‘we lived together` characterizes the author`s firm connection with his family. Thus we see that belonging amongst people with similar experiences and relationships is illustrated through positive allusions, using, `head discussions and embracing gestures`.…

My home completes the customary insight of the typical Persian lifestyle that is based upon the Middle-Eastern interest of gold, luxury, and formality. In addition, the flooring of my house is covered with customary hand-made Persian rugs. To illustrate, the minute you step into my house, there is a long Persian rug extending down the hallway, a round Persian rug on your right in the home office, another Persian rug on you’re left in the dinning hall, and so forth. The formality of my culture is shown throughout my home with a classical design of extended chandeliers, classical burgundy furniture, and a huge golden-framed mirror placed above the fireplace. Moreover, whenever we have guests over, tea is always freshly poured and ready in traditional teacups with saucers that are usually set on the table with a Russian samovar on the side. A samovar is an old-fashion water boiler that was used in accident times that is still commonly used in the Middle East. On a daily bases, when there are no guests, the crystal teacup sets and the golden Russian samovar are placed on the dinning table as décor. In addition, although I was born and raised in the states, the formality of the Persian culture that is embedded within my home has unconsciously enhanced my attitude and behavior. The interior design of my home emphasizes luxury, formality, and proper manners that identify my personality and moral values. In other words, like the interior design that reflects my culture, I am also posed and formal in all…

There is no place like mi casa. After a long day of school or a tiring session of work, the one place I can surely count on is home. Deep in the outskirts of Miami Gardens, this relaxing getaway destination awaits. While not the fanciest nor extravagant, my house is a convenient three bedroom apartment in the residency of Walden Pond. The building is beige with firebrick red stairs and a faded grey roof. The stairs are firm, and have rust stains due to weathering. Walking into the apartment, the aroma of Glade air freshener greets you before the people do. The walls are an orange-brown color, and immediately upon entry there are plaques and awards for my siblings showing their accomplishments in school. A glass table with flowery boutique sits…

A definition of home has no correct answer. Each individual's meaning is different. I associate home with feelings of comfort, security, and love. Webster's Dictionary defines home as "a place where we live, a place of residence (www.m-w.com)." However, this is a better definition for a house, while home is what's on the inside. If you don't have family, you don't have home. Feelings of fear and troublesome problems are mainly dealt with in the home. I feel protected from unknown things in the world because home is familiar to me. A home is not just a house; it is more than a place. A house is just a shelter where you live but don't necessarily love it. Home is where you love to live because you have your belongings in it, your toys that you grown up with, childhood memories, and many more.…

Everyone has his or her own idea of the perfect dream home. Some people may prefer an extravagant three story and eight bedroom mansion with staircases lined with candles and bathtubs the size of pools. Some may be just fine with a small cabin overlooking an endless mountain view. When I was a young child, I had my absolute favorite dollhouse that I played with on a twenty- four seven basis. I was constantly rearranging the furniture and making sure that my little home looked just right. I imagine that my own perfect dream home would be just like my own life-size dollhouse, only larger and much nicer.…
