*S.japonicum: 70-100um long, oval (almost round), small rudimentary spines

*broadly oval, 15 um in size, pale-colored and double-shelled

*egg: spheroid-shaped, rusty brown coloured, shell is thick, single,smooth, with transverse line or striation, cell content is a round granular ,ass enclosed by a fine membrane
