Introduction
Mong Kok is an area in the Yau Tsim Mong District, on the western part of Kowloon Peninsula in Hong Kong. It has a lot of shops and restaurants, with many conveyances pass through there. Also, it has high population density, therefore, I hereby investigate how does air quality of Mong Kok affect people quality of life.
Research Objective
-To investigate how does air quality of Mong Kok affect people quality of life.
- To evaluate the influences air pollution on residents’ health who are living in Mong Kok.
- To propose solutions to contend with negative influences on residents who are living in Mong Kok.
Literature Review
Mong Kok is a place that have high population density. However, there are some potential risks in Mong Kok that harming the people who are living there. I will make analysis of the following article. According to what Green peace’s project director said,”Mong Kok has serious air pollution, there have a lot of people and vehicles pass through and the suspensory particles always stay at high level in that district.”(1) I agree what he claimed, I has seen a medical report ,saying that these particles would worsen the cardiovascular diseases and lung diseases. This will seriously affects resident’s living there health, thereby, making their quality of life lower.
