If Music be the Food of Love, Play on Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination; Music itself is a form of mood, it’s an explosive expression. It's something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music. As Bob Marley said “One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain.” There are certain times good and bad in my life that I can remember just by a song that might play. It’s that recollection of place, time and mood, it brings you back to that moment even if you don’t want to go there. The creation, performance, and even the definition of music change according to culture and social context. I’m sure there is that one song that you can recall that brings you right back to a place and time you either want to be or don’t want to be. Music can play a stimulating roll on the mind, from relationships to dancing and working out you will hear different music in different places. It will have different effects on one’s mind for example the study USA. Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine [1998] shows the mood changes in 4 types of music “This study investigated the impact of different types of music on tension, mood, and mental clarity. A total of 144 subjects completed a psychological profile before and after listening for 15 minutes to four types of music (grunge rock, classical, New Age, and designer). With grunge rock music, significant increases were found in hostility, sadness, tension, and fatigue, and significant reductions were observed in caring, relaxation, mental clarity, and vigor. In contrast, after listening to the designer music (music designed to have specific effects on the listener), significant increases in caring, relaxation, mental clarity, and vigor were measured; significant decreases were found in hostility, fatigue, sadness, and tension.
