on 9/11 endure. A lot of different people were impacted
There is also a change in the concern of a building's safety within architecture firms since 9/11. More money is being invested into large scale buildings. Strong foundations are structure are more focused on. And overall there is just a stronger focus on building safety. The Freedom tower for example has a base which is designed to be blast resistant, and includes extra fireproofing materials. In addition the department homeland security was created to prevent terrorist attacks, and a lot of resources are used to fight terrorist within the U.S and and outside. While it is important that buildings are safe, with good security, the money invested in these buildings, could be spent with research to help and illness or in other ways that could help save a lot of lives.
For the families who lost a loved one on 9/11, it can be hard to get by day to day, and it has impacted most greatly.9/11 has impacted and changed their lives.
One can only imagine how difficult it would be, and i think many families feel resentment, guilt, and profound grief.. In addition, after 9/11 many victims probably feel unsafe in the U.S. It created a great insecurity in people’s mind. If such an attack could happen on the US soil, . who knows what else could happen, September 11th is probably a very hard day for them especially with all the newspaper and news shows reliving the moment. Overall, 9/11 has impacted the families and victims greatly, they probably feel unsafe, and extremely …show more content…
upset.
One of my friends about a year ago was travelling in the summer, the security person looked at her passport, saw her last name, and sent her to a room for a “random” search, she noticed everyone else in the room including herself was from Pakistan.
It is ironic how a random search from a diverse group of people resulted in a room full of people with the same culture. 9/11 has impacted the way Muslim people are viewed, and has created the mindset that anyone who is Muslim is a possible threat. When the terrorists used their belief as an excuse for murdering people, it made many people believe that all Islamic people are murderers because of their faith. When travelling in airports or walking down a block in NY, Muslim people are treated differently, and more hostile overall. In fact it's been shown in experiments, such as the Buzzfeed experiment and through the well known show “30 days”. All in all, the truth is, 9/11 not only affected the lives of the 2,753 people and their families, but most likely affects the lives of thousand of Muslim Americans in the U.S today.
In conclusion, 9/11 has spurred changes that will have lasting impacts in everyone. Not only do many families mourn the death or their loved ones today, but Muslim Americans also suffer stereotyping, and are often misjudged. The safety measures taken in facilities have also changed, as money is spent on safety equipment, rather than investing in research which could save more lives. It’s no suprise that 9/11 has
had some serious and awful consequences.
