Overview
To understand exactly what will be covered one must have a basic knowledge of the USA Patriot Act. The official description is (Jenks, 2001), "Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act." The sole resolution was (Public Law 107-56, 2001) "to deter and punish terrorist acts in the United States and around the world [and] to enhance law enforcement investigatory tools." This law was signed on October 26, 2001. The law is over one hundred pages in length.
