People are the children of God, and He loves them. By the love the Lord has for humankind, He bestows His grace upon them. Hence why people are offered salvation. God’s love for His creation cannot be described, although Greek text attempts this by calling it agape, meaning the highest form of love, love that is unconditional and everlasting. It is from this agape that God has given grace. “And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” (2 Corinthians 12:9 NKJV). The Bible continuously points out grace so that one does not get discouraged from a mistake. People mess up, as is their nature, but God advertises His gift of grace so that people may find their way back to Him. Keeping consistent communication through prayer only helps. Asking the Lord for forgiveness grants peace of mind, as sins are relieved from overbearing shoulders. He wants people to be happy, and by His grace He takes over the burdens of sin. “Now go to Him, and ask that He will wash away your sins and give you a new heart. Then believe that He does this because He has promised.” (White 32). Mrs. White stresses the importance of permitting God to wash away all sins. The Lord has promised to save His children, this is the Lord’s grace. One should remember to tread carefully to not take advantage of grace. The Lord knows what is in the heart of each person, and cannot work in the lives of people who continually disobey Him. Furthermore, when the day comes that one of His stray sheep seeks to return to His flock, by the grace and compassion of the Lord, He will reclaim it. “Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly
