This consists of appropriate forms of communication and attitudes. When its a rough day and your patients haven't been as cooperative as you'd like, and are all asking a lot of you the coworkers that you communicate with in a appropriate and polite manor will be more willing to help you to complete the tasks and patient care for the day. Another important part of professional behavior is setting boundaries. When we talk about boundaries we are talking about ones that will enhance the work environment not disrupt it. Boundaries help to limit the conflicts and misunderstandings between coworkers and patients. In the medical profession there is a lot of trust put in to the workers that help heal the sick and when anything happens one has to be willing to own up to any mistakes that may happen. To coworkers and patients in is important to maintain a level of respect for them to help to keep things to flow smoothly. It is very important to be approachable so that when things to do come up or when a patient has something to report that may be embarrassing they will be able to report it, or like when a coworker needs to say something that may have upset them or just trying to lend advice to improve ones work
