For this week reading, I chose to read "In Cuba I Was a German Shepherd" by Ana Menendez. As long as I see the title of the story, it draws my attention as there are many catchy and interesting words in one sentence such as Cuba, German and Shepherd. After reading the title, I was so eager to understand how the author combine all these totally unrelated words to make the title of the story. Of course, I know about Cuban Revolution and a lille bit of German History. However, look at the title, this is just crazy. How can I skip without reading the whole story when the author come up with such a strange title? That is how I chose the story.
