INCOME - LEVEL OF KINDERGARTEN CHILDREN PARENTS
CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION

1.1 BACKGROUND

Income and Consumption is the most talked-about and as well as important topic in recent times. Due to inflation, economic level of country, political situation etc. study on income level of people has been a major issue. Many surveys and estimations are done regarding income level of various groups of people.

As a large portion of the overall children is being participated in the kindergarten, the target is to find out the income level scenario of kindergarten children parents. This report is based on a small scale survey conducted on parents of kindergarten children. It focuses on their income level; how income varies with variable factors such as job type (business or service-holder, gender (female or male), job position (rank in job sector), age, education level (no. of years completed), experience (no. of years) etc. Through a questionnaire survey, data are collected and applying various statistical tools and models, a relationship is established with income and other variables.

1.2 RATIONALE OF THE STUDY

The report was prepared to fulfill the requirement of the course F-510: “Business Research Methodology”; a prerequisite for the completion of the EMBA Program at University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. The topic of this report is “Income - Level of Kindergarten Children Parents.”

1.3 OBJECTIVES

There are some certain objectives behind preparing this report. These acted as incentive to make the report.
Overall Objective
The main objective of the study is to analyze & get an idea on the income level of parents in the kindergarten schools.

It focuses on their education level, job position, sex, job type and age.

Specific Objectives
Describe the relationship between several independent variables and a dependent variable using multiple regression analysis.
Set up, interpret, and apply an ANOVA table
Compute the coefficient of multiple determination and the adjusted coefficient of
