In this time of desperation and differing opinions on religion and politics, children only at the age of seven are given drugs and a gun in someone else's war. Children in Sierra Leone, and many parts of Iraq are required to be involved in a war. Many are persuaded with drugs, money, and basic living essentials while others have been taught that fighting in wars while they are young is morally right, and that they are protecting their faith and their close peers. Yet the question that has been posed is shall these children be given legal forgiveness among their actions, or will these children be tried equally under the law? Sierra Leone, Iraq, Somali, Congo, Afghanistan, and Chad are just few of the many countries that suffer from poverty and choose to use children in battle, many use them as front-line soldiers in these gruesome battles. They provide many addictive substances including cocaine, marijuana, followed by many other drugs; commanders also provide alcohol to these children. Numerous wars in Africa are wars based on poverty and are often civil wars amongst one county while wars in the middle-east are based off religion such as extremists of Jihad.
