INDEPENDENT LEARNER

As a university student learning in the higher education, it’s a big responsibility for me to have a very good progress so I need to have my own time to be an independent learner because my attitudes to my learning will effect the color of the results of the university which is affecting the grade you achieved in. The population of elderly adults is growing quickly. The oldest members of the popular baby boom generation are now over the age of 65, which means there are more seniors now than ever before in the United States. Of this age group, 43.8% are either single or widowed, and living alone (U.S. Census, 2010). Aging adults desire to remain in their own homes, and this leaves the question as to who is responsible for making sure their physical and emotional needs are being met? Many cities provide a senior community center, but are these centers able to provide support to homebound seniors who are not able to participate in on-site center activities? Cities should also focus on programs that meet the needs of homebound seniors. A senior community companionship program that makes free home visits to homebound seniors could make an overwhelmingly positive impact on their lives. A companionship program for homebound seniors should be supported as an essential community volunteer function because it enriches the lives of immobile seniors by improving their emotional and physical health, and increases their quality of…

The topic of radical unschooling is important for a number of reasons. It deals with a very important matter, which is the education and rearing of children. It calls the integrity of public schools into question and the importance of a curriculum. It also questions or disregards the need to guide children at all through life. The world in general does not look fondly upon radical unschooling. Most people see it as neglect. The people who choose this lifestyle for their family bring up a few arguments and have philosophies that, in theory, make sense. They say that unschooling is good for children because it allows them to naturally learn for themselves at their own pace and in their own environment.…

As a homeschooler, I benefit from an unconventional academic experience. Rather than taking assigned courses within rigid daily schedules, I have the freedom to be an independent learner. I engage in interest-led academia, like the diverse World Literature course I created. My school schedule varies based on my responsibilities. I divide my learning between teacher-led and self-teaching. Since I pursue rigorous coursework, it is sometimes a challenge to balance that with extracurriculars and other responsibilities. However, I use tools like my self-created bullet journal to manage my…

Over the next few weeks the girls will be receiving assessment results as well as their end of Semester 1 Reports. Making decision is never an easy task. In life, the wrong decision at the wrong time could lead to irredeemable mistakes. In my case, when I was still a student in Lotus University, I had a marketing strategy project for ten weeks in the last semester. In order to make a strong impression with juryman, I suggested that our group should choose condom product for our project. At the same time, I had to work a lot of different jobs else, so I was likely exhausted and extremely stressed. Moreover, when we had nearly finished our project, I realized that the condom is not allowed to advertize in our country. As a team leader, I decided to change to another product immediately. Finally, we were a failure in our project assessment. Indeed, we did not have enough time to analyze deeply as well as create a strategy correctly for the new product. I felt repent of my hasty decision that was caused by weakness in problem-solving and stress management skills.…
