Means u are active in what you are doing for the individuals ie washing dressing assisting with meals day to day things is where you are taking participation in the things you are doing.

It helps them to keep maintain in things that they may find it hard to do or unable to do. This also still gives them the choice if they want you to help them. It also keeps any dietry requriments that they may need very helpfull because you can track what they need if they are unable to do their selfs.
