Industry 4.0 Analysis

Industry 4.0 allows the production of individual and personalized products at the low cost with high efficiency and automation. This specifically means that the production companies are capable of overcoming predominant interface issues between production, product development, and product usage, and thus orient all main value-added processes towards the customer’s requirements[2]. New development processes, e.g. intensified information exchange between departments and companies, integrated product and production system development. In addition, by leveraging information and communication technologies, equipment, tools, machines and products, the flexible and intelligent production control are enabled by industry 4.0. M2M communication and networking not only promote the company’s orientation towards the customer, but also bridge department boundaries. In general, Industry 4.0 is composed of four components: 1. Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS); 2. Mobile & cloud computing and Internet of thing (IoT); 3. Big Data, Data mining (DM) and Knowledge Discovery; 4. Internet of Service (IOS).
Real-time big data represents the process of keeping a great deal of data in a data warehouse and discovering interesting patterns and knowledge from large amounts of data. It can be considered the result owing to the natural evolution of information technology and an essential process, where intelligent methods are leveraged to extract data patterns and discover knowledge from data. The data sources can include databases, data warehouses, the web, other information repositories, or data that are streamed into system dynamically.
