Technological changes brought dramatic new options and opportunities to those living in the 1990s. From the beginning to the end of the decade, new forms of entertainment, commerce, research, work, and communication emerged. The driving force behind much of this change, was the innovation of the Internet. These improvements to all areas of industry, continue to take place to this day, as we develop, change and improve our lifestyles through technology. We are all living in the information age.
Technology is constantly improving and being advanced. From, the steam piston engine being invented in 1712; the elevator being invented in 1852; the internet being created in 1983; right up to creating wireless systems in 2001. Technology has evolved incredibly much over the past three centuries, and is only being developed faster and faster as time goes on. However, although it may be hard or strange to believe, there was a time when these things that we take for granted now, were almost unthinkable or even thought to be just impossible. Peoples’ lives must have been so different compared to what ours are now. For example, how would’ve they communicated without a telephone, which was only just invented in the late 19th century.
