Option 3) Pick one of the topics we talked about (i.e. physical security, encryption, biometrics, user training, etc.) and write a comprehensive study and analysis of this topic. Include at least some information not only on current applications of the technology, but also historical uses and as much information as you can gather about what direction this particular segment of information security is headed towards in the near future.
The purpose of this assignment is to give you a start on your Final Paper assignment, which makes up a fairly large portion of your grade.

For the Initial Paper Rough Research/Proposal/Outline assignment I 'm looking for the following points:
1. 1/2 - 1 page proposal*
2. ~100 word Abstract**
3. Official Outline***
4. Proposed Bibliography****
*Develop your ideas here, state your intended option selection and why you made it, decide for yourself why this is a relevant topic and what direction you will be taking with it. The more you know at this point, the easier your writing process will be and less work you 'll have to do for the final draft of both the proposal and the paper at the end of the term.
**If you don 't know how to write an abstract, I suggest you look online or check with the writing center ASAP!
***The more detailed the better, not only will it give me information on the structure of your paper but will also serve as a framework for you to follow when you start your research and writing.
****I realize you won 't be reading all of the sources you may find and you 'll hopefully find other sources as you begin your work, however I would like a minimum of 3 reputable sources that will likely be used.
