Who was the creator of drones? You are all wonder who created it. The man to create drones was a man named Charles Kettering. During the last war …show more content…
of World War 1, He demonstrated the Kettering bug which was the first aerial torpedo in history. He programed the Kettering bug to fly a certain distance before it turned off it’s engine. Charles believed that his device, the Kettering Bug, would allow precise attacks against the fortified German positions. The Kettering Bug had 180-payload of explosives they created holes in the enemy’s defenses. Charles Kettering did an amazing job on making his drone didn’t knowing it would get this popular.
Now your probably gonna wonder about a drone’s history, and yes the first drone was made in the last year of World War 1. Then in 1849 the first unmanned attack happened in Venice by an Austrian Army. in 1898 the Serbian American inventor, Nikola Tesla patented a radio-controlled boat. In 1955 the US army developed its first reconnaissance drone which carried a camera that took still photographs. Later on around the 1960’s through the 1970’s the UAV’s or unmanned aerial vehicle became even more advance. In the late 1990 the US department of Defense Advace Research Projects Agency or the DARPA order for even advancd UVAs. After the 9/11 attack military drones, truly entered the world, as you saw in the first paragraph. After that in the early 20 centuries the United States remained the most productive center of Innovation. Yes, I know the history has a lot to do with the military, but it also tells you how the military used these drones too. How did they make drones?
I always wondered the same thing too. The first drone made broke down walls from on a enemy’s team. Don’t you wondered how it did that. Well it probably changed since that was during World War 1. Now they make them by using a light composite material to reduce weight. The light composite material helped the military cruise at extremely high altitudes. The remote control system knows exactly where the flight location is. Can you believe that! There is also a live show on the camera when it’s in the air. There are also items on the drone that helps you tell which is the back and which is the front. The equipment on the military are somewhat different too. They are equipped with Infra-Red cameras, a GPS, and some Lasers.
Now what do normal everyday people use them for, the NASA and the Atmospheric Administration also called the NOAA. They use drones to engage into the heart of a storm instead of risking a human life. The NOAA and NASA also use drones or UAV to spy on storms to see if they are involving or not. If you see a lightweight drone the chances are that it’s a drone used for 3D mapping. Some people officers uses drones for a Search and Rescue and as you all know Drones are mostly used by the military. I asked someone who has drones some questions their answers
