Should drones be allowed in warfare? Innocent people have been lost due to terrorist attacks. So why is the U.S. retaliating with drones unfair? Drones or unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) are controlled by pilots. There are no people physically in the drone. Drones also have a precise aim, and many innocent people would be spared. Drones should be allowed during warfare. Since drones have an accurate aim, it would be less likely to injure or kill innocent people. Drones are not expensive to make and are very effective. Drone attacks have saved people’s lives. The traditional way of war is very dangerous. Men have to be physically out on the battlefield, fighting, not knowing if they are going to make it out alive. Afghanistan, Yemen, Pakistan, and Somalia have allowed drone strikes because they are unable to control the terrorist there. Terrorist are attacking places that have done nothing to them. So they places being attacked should be allowed self-defense. The people becoming terrorist most likely have had a loved one either die or be injured from a drone attack. As Amnesty International said, ”drone strikes can be classified as “war crimes” or illegal “extrajudicial executions.’” (Source K 9) Drones may also not hit the right target either, but drones are not meant to hit each and every target spot on.
