Think, if I said that there is a virus that can kill every 9 out of 10 people, has been around for exactly 40 years, and has had two major outbreaks.Would it be true? This disease does exist, and it is very lethal. This epidemic is known by many names but mostly known as Ebola.
What is Ebola? Ebola is a rare and deadly disease caused by an infection with one of the Ebola virus species. Discovered in 1976 named after the river from where the disease was found. First arose in the country's Sudan and Zaire. Later, in the 1980’s, more and more cases came up in Southern Africa and The Democratic Republic of Congo. Ebola especially can spread through roads and jungle areas. As well as humans animals can have ebola. There have been multiple reports of animals with the disease. Animals such as gorillas, monkeys, and various bats and birds. In the number of cases there are, there have saddily been deaths from this disease. They have found a few ways people can take preventative measures to not get ebola. Some of these ways are; washing hands frequently with soap and water or an alcohol hand sanitizer. Also make sure sure to not touch any bodily or bloody fluids from an ebola patient.
